fogset studios presents a Fellini-inspired fever dream, straight from the streets of San Francisco.
THE CITY HAS A NEW SUSPECT.
Half-eaten bodies are turning up all over San Francisco, and two detectives are about to have the strangest case of their careers.
JOHNNY STEELE and REGGIE STEELE — SF comedy legends, now SFPD homicide — are chasing a monster (Jorge Scott), a mute gunman on a unicycle (Michael Meehan), a Krazy Kola cover-up, and a city that’s completely lost the plot.
Standing in their way: a squad of well-armed, extremely unbothered seniors (Valerie Meehan, Roberta Borgonovo, Pat Hunter, Jeannie McMillan) locked, loaded, and done asking questions. A mayor (Kevin Meaney) and police chief (Michael Pritchard) who’ve been quietly bought off.
And two Krazy Kola executives (Dan Spencer, James Svatko) with a beverage so dangerous, people are selling their eyes for it — backed by a fixer named Nakamura (James Van Harper) with a very short temper.
Caught in the middle: a 13-year-old Urban Ranger (James Schmalz), chasing his Golden Scat badge, who befriends the wounded Monster while a prophet of doom (Reed Kirk Rahlman) warns of the apocalypse — because in this city, that’s just Tuesday.
Add a jailed soprano (Maryam Mahvi) pining for a fired Krazy Kola employee (Conor Hamill), a luscious acrobat (Dwoira Galilea) throwing the hunter off his game, and a troop leader (Christopher Meehan) with questionable priorities — and you’ve got a city, and a case, spiraling toward a finale nobody saw coming.

THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY
Hey Monster, Hands off my City is Michael Meehan’s first feature film — written and directed by a 35-year stand-up veteran who’s played the Late Late Show, Dennis Miller, Comedy Tonight, A&E’s Comedy on the Road, and beyond. Michael co-created the Meehan Brothers act for a decade, appeared on Last Comic Standing, taught flying trapeze at the SF Circus School, and somewhere in between all of that, painted, built masks, and made this movie happen.
Produced by fogset studios, this film was made possible with generous support from the local community that inspired it — chaotic, creative, and completely one-of-a-kind. Just like the city it’s about.
